Join Greg Johnson, Tornado Hunter on another amazing photography excursion — this time into the Yukon territory of Canada. We will be staying on the fringe of the world renowned Kluane National Park. September 3-10th 2020.

Your advanced photo experience begins when we meet in Whitehorse. Greg will offer an ongoing workshop experience to help ensure you have all the skills you need during your excursion of a lifetime, where camera in hand, you will have ample opportunity to capture everything that unfolds before you as you journey through the Yukon

We will be exploring the Kluane, Lake Laberge and Haines AK regions. We will be staying in rustic cabins and focusing our time on shooting the incredible landscape and wildlife of the Yukon and Southeast Alaska.

This excursion has a moderate physical component that includes Hiking in Mountain terrain

 

 

Expedition Itinerary

Day 1 – Arrive in Whitehorse. Meet and greet and group meal.
Photography stop for the afternoon at the Yukon Wildlife preservation. Continue to Fox Bay Retreat. Catered supper, night shooting and social.

Day 2 – Lake Day at Fox Bay retreat. Landscape photography, wildlife and slow shutter speed lesson.
Walking tour of the local area. Night shooting of Aurora and Stars

Day 3 – Drive to Annie Lake road and the Wheaton River. Landscape, Polarizer and Neutral Density shooting. Supper in Whitehorse.  Return to Cabins.

Day 4 – Travel to Kluane Bed and Breakfast, via Takhini River day trip.

Day 5 – Exploration of the Kelsall Lake watershed (British Columbia)

Day 6 – Hiking in Kluane National Park (Unesco World Heritage site)

Day 7 – Creek exploration, gold panning, Glacier flights and fishing.

Day 8 – Return to Whitehorse
